• iGEM Dundee 2013

This part did not work as part of our project. The brick produces the E. coli MalE signal peptide that will target unfolded proteins to the periplasm of an E. coli chassis. The gene could be transcribed and translated (protein product of a fusion protein was observed), however the passenger tested was not targeted to the periplasm. Dundee iGEM 2013 data are presented on the mainpage.
